The dream lives on
After four years spent training with the top coaches and competing against the best international sailors on the way to the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, I’ve decided to give it another shot. From now until 2020, I’ll be competing around the world and sharing both the challenges and successes I encounter on the way to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
Those lucky enough to commit their time and energy to sailing know how easily sailing can become a lifelong passion. My personal journey has been populated by incredible coaches, wise mentors, loyal friends, talented teammates and worthy competitors. It is a journey that I look forward to continuing and sharing with the incredible community of individuals that supports me every step of the way.
And now for the shameless plug: Olympic Sailing in the U.S. is not state sponsored. Unlike my competitors in countries like England, New Zealand, Australia, and others, I do not receive government funding to compete as an American athlete either before or during the Olympics. I am incredibly grateful to the people who support me every step of the way. If you are interested, below are 3 ways to contribute to the success of my campaign:
